Weight management is one of the most important lifestyle choices.
We are all different that is what makes us unique and your health is paramount. We have customers who can eat what they want and never put on a pound. Others only look at food and put on weight.
So hows your weight ratio ?
Apart from the obvious, tight jeans, out of breath, can't bend down without groaning......you know the signs. Being Over weight can initiate problems down the road. It can lead to tiredness, irritability with your self, others and life in general. Self image and self confidence can be eroded. Aquired medical conditions may result such as high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, joint strain, heart disease, to name a few. Being over weight may stem from a sedentary lifestyle, eating too much of the "wrong" foods, drinking to much of the high calorie drinks such as Alcohol and fizzy pop, emotional issues, cravings for certain foods and drinks, the wrong job, or a medical condition. It's fair to say that there are many factors and excuses for being over weight. Unfortunately many medical conditions are linked to this so be proactive today, as apposed to being reliant on medication in your later years.
Being Under weight has it's own problems too. Sometimes linked to poor diets, emotional issues, food control, stress, depression, smoking, Alcohol and drug abuse, fast metabolism or an underlying medical condition. Self image and self confidence can be undermined. The trick is to recognise and accept that you would like to change your routine and experiences. Every second that you remain something your not is an absoulute waste, as the world can offer you so much if you let it. The world will not come to you so you have to open the door to find it. Controlling your life with food is not the way to go so break that cycle today.
How long have I got? (to train for that is!!)
Ok....Lets not call it training as this evokes images of pain and hard work, you will cruise to this stage eventually and you will want more of it. For now we will call it changing. To break a cycle that you have been doing or gain a new regime can take on average around 21 days. This is the toughest period for many and the loss is quite raw. Remember when you lose your fatty burger comfort meal it will be a loss so accept it, morn it, and say bye bye "friend" as I'm looking for a real friend. One that's not going to harm me. Gaining weight for the under weight can be achieved slightly quicker, again you have to say bye bye to some of those old thoughts, actions and ideals and address the reason for change. Look to the important people and situations in your life, focus on the positives and kick the negatives where the sun don't shine. You have to be back in control and focused on your own self wellbeing and happiness. You must come first.
If you think you are under or over weight or considering starting a fitness programme first see a medical professional early on as it can save you months of unecessary worry and get the help that is our there. Exersize really can be a life saver. Being more active enables your body to work at a pace that will suit you. Weather your a professional athlete or an avid walker you will feel mentally and physically alive.
